The local authority in Doan district announced that it is closely monitoring the repercussions of the tragic incident that occurred in the Rabat Ba’ashan area, which involved the partial collapse of a wall of an old building, resulting in the death of a young man and injuries to three others.
A statement issued by the local authority explained that the Director General of Doan District, Mr. Abdullah Hussein Muqbil, followed the details of the incident from the first moments and directed the security services to move immediately to the site of the collapse to secure the area and inspect the damages, while he made direct contacts with the Director of the Health Office in the district to ensure a rapid medical response and the transfer of the injured.
According to the statement, the unfortunate incident resulted in the death of the young man Omar Al-Buraiki, while three other people were injured, and two of them were transferred to hospitals in the cities of Al-Mukalla and Seiyun to complete treatment and intensive medical care due to the seriousness of their health condition.
The local authority confirmed that it continues to monitor the situation of the injured and stands fully with the families of the victims, expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and asking God Almighty to have mercy on him and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
The Director General praised the great efforts made by the security services and the health office in Doan Directorate, along with the medical teams at Al-Quwaira Hospital, which contributed effectively to the rapid response, receiving the injured and providing them with the necessary first aid.
