Two people were killed and four others were injured in armed clashes that broke out between the Bani Tamish and Beit Houmi tribes in the Bani Sarim district of Amran Governorate. Local sources explained that the conflict arose from old, renewed disputes centered around water channels and ownership of agricultural lands in the area.

The sources confirmed that the intensity of the clashes resulted in one death on each side, in addition to the injury of four others from the two tribes, before a tribal mediation intervened and succeeded in curbing the escalation and reaching an agreement stipulating a temporary ceasefire between the two sides.

The region is currently experiencing a state of extreme anticipation and caution, while tribal efforts and endeavors continue to address the root causes of the problem in order to reach radical solutions that ensure that armed confrontations do not recur.

This tragic incident comes in the context of escalating tribal conflicts in many areas under the control of the Houthi group, where bloody conflicts over land ownership and water resources are recurring, in the complete absence of effective solutions and guarantors that would limit these tensions and prevent the recurrence of violence.
